Y empecé a buscar.
A mí me costó muchos años entenderlo y sufrí mucho.
-English version-
If we talk about who I am, the word resilience best describes me. For those who don’t know what this word means, I can tell you that it is the ability to maintain a positive mindset regardless of adversity. And since childhood, that’s what my life has been all about, adversity.
My battles started as a child with an endless number of infections and operations on my tonsils, adenoids and turbinates. Then my left lung’s bronchi fought with my right lung, and about 10 or 12 trips to the clinic in two years later, I was finally diagnosed with CVID. CVID is a disorder that makes me highly susceptible to bacterial and viral infections in the lungs, sinuses, and ears.
Following cell replacement therapy, I was able to go back to school, but faced bullying because of my constant coughing, always having to wear a sweater and being unable to do physical exercise.
Growing up, I averaged one or two infections per year with a couple of hospitalizations which made my childhood and adolescence emotionally chaotic. As a result, I became a sad woman hiding what diagnosis would lead.
Despite the high risk, not only because of my pathology, but because of the complexity that this entails, life gave me the gift of being a mother. At the time, motherhood made me the happiest woman in the world, but my spirit was sad, I made some decisions based on my pain and I had a hole in my soul during the first few years of adulthood.
Ten years ago I became sick again, but this time with new symptoms, new battles, new challenges. I hit rock bottom. I wasn’t eating and my weight dropped to 27 kilograms. It was a period of suffering like nothing I had experienced before and I thought it was the end of my existence. But thanks to a revelation from heaven and a change in my therapy, I recovered and my life changed.
At that moment, I felt that I had to change my life’s strategy. Although I always won the battles on a physical level, there was still one important battle I needed to win: a broken heart. My heart was broken and there was a lot of pain that had to heal, so I started looking and found God.
Although God was always within since I prayed to Him when I was little and thanks to Him I had the strength to get up every day. Only until my last relapse, I really found Him. He showed me the path to heal, I began to meditate, and walking along this path I was able to heal all the physical wounds and my heart. I understood that I should not fight against my illness and I learned to live along side.
I learned to breathe with an oriental technique and thus I began my physical rehabilitation. With a lot of effort, discipline and a wonderful group of experts in different disciplines like sports, spiritual and medical level, I can raise the kilograms I needed and make my soul stronger. I did the unthinkable. With this new body I surpassed my limits: I ran half marathon; After many years of looking behind the glass of the gym, I was able to enter the classes with which I always dreamed; my body was strengthen to a level that I never imagined; I met yoga, a beautiful science that I fell in love with and became part of me.
I finally had everything I wanted. But even my heart was still restless, searching.
After much exploration, I understood that the only thing that my heart needed was to share all my experience to help others.
What I most desire is that other people can heal or learn to live with their pathology in the best way.
To make this possible, I started a project in which I will share, through my experience, meditation, the study of how the mind is able to heal the body, therapeutic yoga, some food tips, and many other things; in addition to medical and sports assistance depending on the case.
Every day is a new beginning; sometimes you fall, then you get up again and try again. I believe that not giving up and taking out the best in a difficult situations is the best way to live. It took me many years to understand and I suffered a lot. I just want those who are suffering from any situation, have a shorter and better experience, and understand that «everything is possible.»
